No one can call upon Christ to save them if they don't believe in Him. For the New Testament Church, the challenge and responsibility for us is to send, so people might hear about Christ and, upon hearing, might believe and be saved. It is the church's duty to fulfill the Great Commission, to send people to all the world. That's what missions is all about.
At HHCC, we believe in our mission to go where our Lord has called us to go. This might be through prayer support, financial support, and/or volunteer support. The following mission ministries are supported by HHCC.
Local Missions
Lunch With Jesus
Our in-house outreach, where we set up outside the “Hope Center” housing complex at the Topeka Rescue Mission. On select Saturdays each month, we provide praise music, the preached Word of God, a meal and necessities to those in need. A great way to get involved at HHCC!
Alpha Christian Children’s Home
For over 50 years now, Alpha Christian Children’s Home and School has been HOME for children who need a safe place to live. While the circumstances of each child may be different, their common needs are genuine love, compassion, character building and security. Located near Grantville, KS, ACCH is an important missional outreach of HHCC.

The Bridge of Topeka
The Bridge is a Christian mentoring program whose mission is to empower children in Topeka to become servant leaders through long-term mentoring relationships. Their vision is to connect kids with mentors during elementary school and to follow them through high school graduation. Their two main programs are Life Buddies & Lunch Buddies. HHCC is very active with the Lunch Buddies program and always seeking new volunteers for each school year. See if your calling is getting involved with the Bridge!
Doorstep, Inc.
With the assistance of faith-based organizations, community members and groups, Doorstep, Inc. provides short-term emergency aid to individuals in need and information on services to promote long-term self-sufficiency in and around the Topeka community. Some of the many programs and services offered at Doorstep are: money for rent, food and clothing, transportation, utility services, crisis intervention, and sundry other needs.
DOXAZO Ministries
Doxazo Ministries, founded and based in Topeka, exists to help churches equip disciples who make disciples by investing in ministry leaders of today to help them multiply the ministry leaders of tomorrow. Heritage Christian School
A nondenominational private school founded on the belief that children should have a Christ-centered, quality education to prepare our children to serve Christ. Students receive wisdom, knowledge and a biblical worldview. The school is considered an extension of the Christian home. Proverbs 22:6 - “Train up a child in the way he should go, when he is old he will not turn from it.” Several members of the church are very active at Heritage Christian School as teachers, mentors and more!
Jars of Clay Children’s Center (JOCCC)
Located inside our church building, JOCCC provides a faith-based preschool program that is more than a childcare facility – it is a learning environment. Starting as a mission of HHCC in 2007, JOCCC has grown to average more than 60 children and 12 staff members annually. Directed by Chellie Garlock, who has been the director since its inception, JOCCC has served the area for nearly 20 years - one blessing at a time.

Working with couples providing marriage seminars and counseling throughout the Mexico City area, Pecos & Lynda Inchaustegui continue their amazing work!
HHCC - Kenya
This is our Sister church in Ogembo, Kenya, just outside of Kisii. The Lord God introduced us to each other early during the COVID shutdowns. We have worked very closely with this mission, which has a church, school and orphanage. In February of 2026, we sent our first missionaries to scout the ministry. What we found was more than we had anticipated, as their mission focus is an incredible blessing to their community and region. Click on the link below to learn more!
