Highland Heights Ministry Opportunities
Volunteering is imperative to the impact, sustainability, and the growth of the local church. This is how we make an impact on our community for the Glory of God. So, the question presents itself like this: How would you like to serve the local church at HHCC?
Below is a list of many opportunities where you can get involved. Each position is important. Remember how the Apostle Paul used the human body to explain the working parts of the church? This is exactly how you can be part of the working body at HHCC!
Our ministry model is broken up into 6 (six) areas of focus. The explanation of all six are listed below along with multiple opportunities (plus descriptions), that fall under one of the six categories.
Please note that those marked with an asterisk (*), are where we presently need the most consideration for your help. However, do not let that distract you from choosing anything in which you feel led to assist.
Once you find one or more areas in which you are interested in, please let us know. There are two ways: One is, click on the link at the end of this list, and fill out the electronic form. You will be contacted by the Purpose Team Leader, once our “sign-up” period is over. And the other way is to fill out a card that is located inside of the bulletin on Sunday services, both the 7th and the 14th.
We are grateful you have made HHCC your home church. Now, let’s roll up our sleeves and get busy!
ADMINISTRATION:
This is the organizational structure of the church, inner workings of the care of our people, as well as our care of the building property.
*EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM: This is both our security and medical emergency team members. Whether you are interested in either security detail or medical preparedness, we are looking for you!
*HOUSEKEEPING: Those who help keep the building maintained. This is in addition to our Custodian, to help alleviate the heavy use of our building, seven days per week. From sanctuary clean-up (changes candles, pick-up trash, etc.), to cleaning windows, dusting, etc.

*NURSERY ASSISTANT: This team of volunteers rotate every couple of weeks to help our Nursery Director in caring for infants up to Pre - K. This is presently only needed for 2nd service.
*KID’S OWN WORSHIP LEADERS: We teach children from kindergarten up to 6th grade and have three separate groups within these ages. Presently, this is only needed during second service, but we are in need of some additional teachers. Would you prayerfully consider having an impact on our children?

HHCC supports both foreign and local missions. From our Missionaries in Africa and Central America to our own back yard with Doorstep.
*LUNCH WITH JESUS: This is an outreach mission that takes place every other Saturday throughout the year. A ministry that helps bring the good news, a meal, clothing and prayer to the homeless. It’s a mobile church mission. Great for families to get involved together!
DOORSTEP: Volunteers will assist Doorstep in the food and clothing banks, and/or at their annual Christmas Store. They are always welcoming volunteers.
WORSHIP:
Worship is the expression of reverence and adoration for our God! It is expressed in many ways, not just at Sunday morning church service. Here are some other ways you can worship our Savior!

*CARE MINISTRY: Care ministry is an integral part of our church. Whether it’s directly greeting folks during church or helping to make calls to folks who are sick or homebound, Care Ministry is a very important job as well as a constant need in the church. The three listed duties below are part of Care Ministry:
Sanctuary Ambassador: Intentionally welcomes people who sit down in any section, especially someone you don’t recognize.
Lobby Ambassador: This role warmly greets everyone who is on their way to the worship service with a handshake, a smile and a bulletin. These folks give first impression of friendliness, acceptance, and love to members, attenders, and visitors alike. They also help visiting families find the correct Sunday school rooms by personally walking with them to each classroom.
Pursuit Ambassador: This is a role that follows up with first time attenders. If they fill out a card, the ambassador utilizes their contact information to follow-up with a phone call.
